What is Enlightenment?
There are so many teacher around today all wanting to enlighten us with their philosophy, dogma and spiritual practice.
Recently I attended a meditation evening, which stated it was for relaxation, with some lovely people who were intending to do just this. What I encountered was their special brand of spiritual processes to bring in the light and clean up the dark so we can be at peace and more relaxed in our lives. As I arrived they told me they were cleaning up the negative energy in my suburb. They said they had been looking into the area and found some really BAD energy that needed to be dealt with.
But like many well meaning healers, teachers and guru's of the light, their practice entailed looking for the so called dark or negative energy in order to clear or heal it..
This is the mistake so many of us make, we think in order to rid ourselves of unwanted negative energy, people or situations we have to find it, see it, focus on it and talk about it in order to clear ourselves of it.
Haven't you notice, the unwanted get's our attention?
Be it pain in our body, stress, sadness or any perceived negative energy, we are usually aware that it is around .. We don't have to go looking for it.
When we remember the law of attraction says, 'that which we give our attention to grows,' we come to an understanding that in order to change or transform anything we have to find the desire birth from the contract.
Meaning; we have to shift our focus from what is unwanted to was is WANTED, what is appreciated, what is desired and put our powerful attention on that which we wish to create.
So clearing anything means to evoke good feeling, or positive energy. It means to Appreciate what is GREAT about it, what is beautiful what IS wanted. See the gift, focus on what you appreciate, and if you can't find something to appreciate, change the subject so you can.
There is going to be negative energy in every suburb, person and situation. This IS a contrasting environment we live in, Good and Bad is all part of the plan. But we do not have to invite more of what we do not want into our live by looking for it so we can heal or clear it.
I find many people who like to think they're enlightened because they have been seated at the foot of the guru or spiritual practice, are still fighting the good fight. The light over the dark, good over evil.
As as much fun as this can be, its really not necessary and a very slow way to create what we want to manifest, or transformation and change in our lives.
Many well meaning healers or spiritual people seem to seek out the bad in you in order to fix you or heal you.
They focus on the differences between you and them, because you don't know what they know about consciousness, or their enlightenment and spiritual practice. They'll call you unenlightened, asleep, ignorant, not conscious or unaware.
Any limiting judgement of another being is just another way of pinching off our alignment to the pure positive energy which is available to everyone from source, and in fact keeps us from receiving the benefits from the spiritual practice we're engaging in. I have seen many newagers pass these judgements on me and others.
Enlightenment is about seeing our sameness and appreciating our differences.
It is about finding our common ground and knowing you are in my space because Law of Attraction has brought us together as there is something you want, that I want too.
It is not about fighting or pushing against anyone or anything.
It's a knowing that everything in life happens for our benefit and not to us, to overcome.
It is about taking responsibility for the energy and the people we attract into our lives.
It is about Loving what is, because we have attracted it with our powerful focus, and if we don't like it, we can change it at the speed of a thought.
Enlightenment is not just giving lip service to, but knowing and living the knowledge that WE ARE ONE.. and ALL IS WELL..

In our daily search for certainty and reassurance that the Universe or God is taking unconditional care of us. We look for proof in uncertain times that we can truly TRUST every need is provided for and that we are Loved and will receive our desires.
In a remote village in Brazil, I found one of the most astounding example of this with a world renowned Healer known as John of God. Home to the Casa Dom Inacio. (House of St Ignacious). This is a place where hundred sometimes thousand gather to see and receive the healing powers of God.
João Teixeira, as he is known in his native tong of Portuguese, has been treating and healing the sick there for over thirty years. An extraordinary medium from childhood, he had only two years schooling, yet he has treated over 20 million people. Many of whom have been cured instantly of chronic and terminal diseases. A humble man, João makes no pretence that it is his personality doing the healing. “It is your faith in a higher Power that cures all.” he says
During a healing sessions João will incorporate entities. These are the spirit guides working with him that take over his body in order to perform physical operations. There are over 30 guides that, one at a time, incorporate João’s body. Many more create the experiences of the Casa. Most of the sprits working with João have been Healers, Doctors, surgeons or men of God, such as Dom Inacio, in lives lived before. It is a silent process. One when experienced, seems very normal. There is no fan fare, no lighting bolts, the experience here is the silent serene power of Love.
In July 2002 I travelled to Brazil with two girl friends, Maree and Karen, to see for myself the work being performed there. Through my practice as a Healer I have spoken to many people who had returned from JOG with tales of wonder and amazement. But it was when my friend Maree came back from her first trip two years ago, healed of a thyroid condition and shinning like the sun, I knew I had to go and experience this for myself.
Although I had no real health issues my experience was profound. In this tiny remote village in the centre of Brazil I met people from all over the world, from all religions with many different reasons to be there from curiosity to terminal illness. As I sat in a quaint little cafe in the street of the Casa (house of JOG), surrounded by different faces, languages, health conditions and ages, I experienced a profound unity, one of unconditional oneness and Love. We came together with the one focus, to remember Love and receive Healing. How wonderful I thought, this is how the world could be. What an extraordinary reminder of the power of Love.
The stories of healing’s are enormous. Terminal cancers disappearing before your eyes. The blind see, the cripple walk. There is a whole room dedicated to discarded wheel chairs and crutches. I saw people stand on the viewing platform being cut open with no pain, little blood and no anaesthetic. Wounds were sometimes sealed over with the wipe of a finger. João, when he incorporates a doctor entity, plunges his unsterilised knife into the body of people who have requested a physical operation, and pulls out large tumorous masses with his hands. He will scrape their eyeballs with a sharp knife, Inserts scissors, with cotton buds on the end, into the nostrils and propels them into their head. Everyone who receives these visible operations is awake and have said after, they experience very little, to no pain.
These and many more are the stories of the visible physical operations João in entity performs in front of the waiting crowed. They gather morning and afternoon Wednesday to Friday to receive a healing and to watch the miracles. João performs these visible operations not to heal, but to show us the power of God and the power of our faith. Most people, in need of an operation, choose to have an invisible operation, sitting for hours in a room filled with other meditators, while they are operated on silently and unseen by spirit.
In entity João will receive everyone who comes to the Casa. No judgment is placed on who you are or what you have done with your life. He receives everyone as an equal and sees our blue print, which is the sum total of our life, our past lives and our entire being. Thus knowing everything there is to know about who we are as a Human and what our soul is wishing to experience. It is with this information, João, in entity, issues instructions for our treatment. Many receive Herbs, some are asked to have Operations, with a choice of visible or invisible, and some are instructed to sit in the Current room.
What is the Current?
The power of the casa is” The Current Rooms.” These are rooms filled with mediums and people receiving Healing. They sit with eyes closed in a silent meditation. João says, the energy generated by the presents of us sitting with in meditation is what enables the many Healing’s to take place. It provides and energy field for the spirit doctors to operate and nourishes João’s physical body while he operates, enabling him to see up to three thousand people in one day. It is in one of these rooms, João in entity sits to receive the people who have come for the miracles. The beauty of the current room is the spiritual law of life. As you give service, in being a part of the current, so you receive. As you receive healing, so you serve the greater good of all.
As a healer I have seen the power of the body, or infinite intelligence, heal in an instant, but still I have asked. What dose it take to fulfil our desires, whether it is healing, security, love, money or enlightenment.
Now I understand, it is Unwavering Faith.
Faith that the Universe knows what it’s doing and has our best interest at heart. Faith that the Universe grants our every wish, when we believe and allow it to be.
Faith that we can enjoy life and relax because we will always get what we want, although it may look a little different to what we expected.
What dose it take to know this faith?
It is the knowing that we are the power of the Creator, we hold the key to all possible realities. Through the power of our thoughts and beliefs, words and actions we create our world.
The thought that the universe is on your side, is a powerful one. It’s only when we forget we are LOVED, that it may take an illness, or sometimes even death, to remind us.
One of the most amazing conversations I had in Brazil was with a New Zealand nurse named Simmone. She had come to Brazil, not to see João, but on an assignment as the carer for a little quadriplegic boy who was injured in a foot ball accident four years earlier. Simmone was not a believer in anything spiritual, until it came to her turn to go before João when he was with entity.
As she stood in the line that shuffles through the current rooms, she saw sitting in the corner meditating, her young sister who was tragically killed in a car accident a year earlier. In tears she came before João in entity and asked,” why have you shown me this”
“I needed to show you something so you would believe in my House.” He said.
João says that the Casa Dom Inacio was created not to Heal the sick but to show humanity the existence of God. To experience this for yourself, faith is the unseen power.
My experience showed me that the people who heal totally are the believers. The ones with no doubt that the power of God can cure them. It is the doubters asking questions such as, can this be real, will I really be healed and dose God really Love ME, who take the time to heal, or leave and go home to die.
When the doubt stops, the Healing is done.
João always maintains… “There are no miracles that occur at my House of Dom Inacio. I do NOT Heal anyone. The only thing that happens here, is YOUR faith in God. I do not do the physical operations to heal people, I do them because you need something to see, to believe.”

Charlotte Dawson and Why do they kill themselves?

Tragedy and speculation seems to be sweeping mainstream media with news of the suicide of Charlotte Dawson.
Why do you think people kill themselves?
I guess only they can tell you that, and I suspect if you asked them they would say, I wanted to end my suffering.
When we feel bad, we always look for ways to feel better, and sometimes death can seems like the only way we can put an end to our suffering. We think we must get rid of the apparatus that seems to hold it... Our physical body.
I knew Charlotte, many years ago when I was young and drop dead gorgeous. We used to go to the same parties, fashion parades and night clubs. Once, I was at a big fashion event in Melbourne, I had on a spray on velvet little black dress and a long blonde hair piece, ohhh did I look hot, and I guess Charlotte must of thought so too, as the next night she turned up in the same outfit, even with the blonde hair piece. They say imitation is the best form of flattery.
Like many people in the fashion industry, Charlotte spent a lot of time thinking about her looks and feeling identified by her appearance. I did too in those days. I spent many sad moments judging myself for not being good enough based on my own critical thoughts about my appearance and how I didn't measure up to the way fashion magazines portrayed beauty. Ever seeking more ways in which to look better and so feel better about myself.. It was exhausting!
Today I am middle aged, fat and ageing gracefully and I feel better about myself today than I have ever felt before, and yet I look nothing like the beauty we as supposed to conform to.
Life is more exciting for me today than I think it has ever been, and yet I do not have the trappings that society and the style magazines say we need to be happy.
I don't have a loving partner, my own house, a fit beautiful body, lots of money or even a family that surrounds and supports me. But I am having a ball discovering new people, places and adventures, I'm all fired up about my bright future, and Love the people who are in my life.
I may not have all of life's trappings at the moment, but I have my blissful thoughts, and Live my values, which are in alignment with WHO we are as human beings.
Where do you put your value?
I value people, service, empowerment, spiritual connection, knowing I am a co- creator in this life with an unseen source of Love and Joy. I value my ability to choose how I think and feel. I value my self-empowerment and I value helping others know theirs too. I value this over all else and because I value this, I have created it in my life, and it feels really great.
I do sometimes get really sad that I haven't yet manifested the beautiful home I want, the beautiful body I want or another beautiful husband I want, and then I REMEMBER these things are Not the source of my happiness.... I AM!
This is what I want everyone to know. Our happiness is not based on our material world, it is based on what we give value to and how we live our values.
What I want to know is, did anyone tell Charlotte, ' it is NOT IMPORTANT what you LOOK like of what other people say about you. If others are criticising or judging you. Their cruel rants are a statement about their negative state of mind and Not about WHO YOU ARE!!!!' Where are you putting your values?
Only people in pain want to cause pain to others, they are not be to shamed or abused or to be beaten down... they are screaming for help and need to be helped and taught more empowering points of views about life and what is possible for them.
People only want to hurt others because they feel they can not have what they want and we get sad because we believe this lie too.
I wonder if Charlotte saw her twitter attackers in a compassionate light and felt she could help them, or others who feel disempowered too, instead of feeling she had to defend herself from them, she may have felt less abused and victimised.
It's our thoughts we need to change, not the people who abuse or hurt us, because as we change the way we treat ourselves inside with our thinking, we change the vibrations we put out into life. And when we have loving, compassionate, kind and empowering thoughts about ourselves and others, it feels really good and we receive them back.
This is SO important and I want everyone to remember; Love is who we are and what we could value most.
LOVE is what I value most, Being Love, Giving Love and Spreading Love & Joy and judging the way mainstream media is portraying these tragic suicide stories, I've got my work cut out for me in this life time.
Suicide is not tragic for the ones who do it, for they do put an end to their suffering and reemerge back to the Infinite, Blissful, Unconditional Love and Joy of our true nature. It is only tragic to those who are left behind asking the question... 'How can we stop the suffering that leads to such a permanent act?'
